Well, it is official boys and girls. Jennifer Lopez will be the panel of judges on American Idol. Is how exciting this? NOT VERY!

She signed a contract for 12 million dollars with the idol.Not only that, but it will be on show for 2 years. BAHAHAHA, if lasts it that you long.

She will be replacing Kara DioGuardi, once she got goodbye because it produces an error in the life. speaking of where is Kara lately? I have not heard from her in awhile.

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Music power couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are suing a British stroller company for using their images and their twins' for their ad without their permission.

On Wednesday, they filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in Los Angeles district court, claiming Silver Cross company used a picture of them with their twin son and daughter, one-year-old Max and Emme, in their strollers without consent.

They allege that Silver Cross is deceiving the public into believing that they are endorsing and sponsoring the brand.

The couple are seeking a minimum of $5 million in damages, as well as a permanent injunction against any further use of their names or images in the company's advertising and any profit they made by using their images.

Jennifer Lopez signs first-look deal with Universal Media Studios

Washington, Oct 28 (ANI): American actress Jennifer Lopez along with her company Nuyorican Productions has signed a first-look deal with Universal Media Studios.

Lopez runs Nuyorican with producing partner Simon Fields, and according to the terms of the two-year pact, the company will create a wide variety of TV projects for the studio, reports Variety.

The deal was announced by NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios co-chairman Ben Silverman on October 27, and it reunites Lopez with NBC.

Under Lopez and Fields, Nuyorican has been busy expanding its TV development, having sold a small screen version of the Lopez feature Maid in Manhattan to ABC, as well as the project Amigas to Disney Channel.

Nuyorican's TV credits also include the UPN drama South Beach, the Univision mini Como ama una mujer and the MTV dance show Dancelife. (ANI)

Life couldn't be more different for Jennifer Lopez since the February Birth of their boy and girl, the singer and husband Marc Anthony admit.

"We're just lucky," Anthony, 40, tells PEOPLE. "Our life is designed around the twins. Everything smells better, it tastes better, it even feels better on a minute-to-minute basis. We should just enjoy this."

The couple were arm in arm at Fashion Group International's Night of Stars Event at Cipriani Wall Street in New York Thursday night. Lopez and Prince presented the award to Donatella Versace.

It was a Versace palm-leaf dress that Lopez famously wore to the Grammys in 2000, but the new mom and her husband were at odds over whether she'd slip into a similar outfit these days.

"For me, it was one of the eye-opening moments of what a dress could actually do," Lopez, 39, tells PEOPLE. "And I was on the cover of the paper the next day, because of that Versace dress. No, I'd wear it [now]."

If you love Jennifer Lopez and heavenly-smelling scents, no doubt you’ve already amassed a collection of crystal bottles bearing J.Lo-endorsed fragrances: Glow, First Love, Live Lux, Still, Deseo…there are more, but sheesh! We’ve lost count.

Now, Jennifer’s got a new fragrance to tout–and she did just that this week for nearly 2,000 adoring fans at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC–but it’s not for us, chicas. The star just launched Deseo for Men, her first masculine fragrance, and don’t think she didn’t check in with her esposo Marc Anthony for input!

“We’re always creative partners,” Lopez told Latina.com at the launch. “At first we wanted to go with notes like tobacco and whiskey because we wanted it to be very masculine–we were like, does this sound crazy?” Whiskey didn’t make the final cut, but tobacco leaves did, along with notes like yuzu, cedar leaf and guaiacwood. The effect is a scent that’s rich, woody and definitely man-made.

We asked Jennifer whether Marc was really a cologne-wearing kind of guy before their relationship, and she had this to say: “He did wear a little bit at first–like, very light–and then I told him, ‘I like for you to smell really good! I like cologne.’ So now he wears more.”

I hope you leave here today believing you are the leader you've been searching for.

I realized early in my own journey that I had to be my own champion. Nobody told me to do what I did - most told me NOT to do it. But I was lucky enough to have a strong feeling inside that I should listen to my gut and it would guide me. When I didn't listen is when I had my biggest mishaps.

Certain relationships make you doubt who you are and what you're capable of and what you deserve. Took me some time to get it right in that arena. That's why I'm telling you you have to listen to that voice. In one of my lowest moments, when you don't have a grasp of who you are or where you're going, when you feel the world is questioning you and you are questioning yourself. I prayed for guidance, for strength, a message, something. I picked up my Bible and the passage said be happy for your trials and tribulations because you test your faith. Perseverance. We'll come back to that.

Many of us know what it is to be first time mothers. So as you know, there is nothing that inspires you more to be an architect of good change than giving birth to a baby - or two. You cannot imagine how it will effect and change you. It makes you understand and sympathize with every mother and every other child. YOu become more aware of the world around you. Everything in your power to make the world better - you want to do. That is the miracle of being a mother.

My dream is to launch a foundation to help the well being of all women. I decided after a lot of talks with my sister, Linda, when the time was right we would create an organization that would empower women and children. Empowering them to have their voices heard, to have the type of schools they deserve, the healthcare they deserve. Empowering them to demand change. Nothing more empowering than the love of a woman, a mother, a grandmother, a wife. Every single one of us deserves the best life has to offer.

That's why when I was at the Democratic National Convention talking to Marian Wright Edelman, we talked about this.

My foundation will prioritize the importance of empowerment. I have lots of big dreams and envision big changes toward proper healthcare, prenatal care, pediatric care. And that, coming together in the biggest possible way is what I believe women are capable of.

Don't ever doubt that you can accomplish more than you thought you ever could.

Don't ever doubt that we can master those moments. You have amazing capacity. What are YOU doing to be an architect of change? It takes perseverance, so when everyone is telling you otherwise, you need to look inside yourself and be your own leader and empower yourself and others to do the same.

Let's challenge ourselves to lead by example and claim our legacies. Nothing worthwhile is easy. It is hard to achieve what is great. Let's do what's hard. Let's achieve what is great.

She said: "Max is like Marc. He's got Marc's lungs, and he screams and he's strong, very boyish. Emme's very delicate and quiet, but you can't mess with her."

The 39-year-old star also says she and Marc hope to have more children. She added to US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight': "I'd love to have more kids. A spokesperson for Jennifer Lopez has hit back at a journalist, denying reports the star suffered a nervous breakdown in 2002.

Reporter Kevin Sessums was commissioned by Elle magazine to profile Lopez but the publication dropped his initial interview with the star in favor of a more flattering piece amid complaints from her representatives that the interview "got much too personal."

Sessums' interview was subsequently picked up by the new Web site The Daily Beast.

In the article, the writer alleges that Lopez struggles as a new mom, expresses her desire to send her eight-month-old twins with husband Marc Anthony to a school specializing in Scientology, and opens up about the "kind of nervous breakdown" she suffered in 2002 while filming her movie "Enough."

Sessums recounts Lopez's ruminations on motherhood, quoting her as saying: "I did cry a lot (after the babies were born) because I was having so much trouble moving. I had a C-section. I couldn't get up fast enough to feed the babies. It went on for about three days. Marc was helping out a lot and I was crying and crying and going, 'Oh, Papi, they're going to know everybody more than me. ... They're going to love everybody more than me!'"

According to the New York Post, Sessums pitched the interview to Lopez as "a fashion discussion about a woman who had new babies and was doing it all."

But a spokesperson for the star insists she was misled, adding: "We're very unhappy about it, and think it was poor judgment on his part. As long as we have represented Jennifer, we have never heard her refer to having a breakdown of any sort."

As WENN went to press, Sessums and a spokesperson for Elle had not returned request for comment.

The big screen's love affair with Broadway continues as some very strong comments were made at Monday night's REVIVAL: Broadway's Next Act panel discussion and perfromance at Carnegie Hall regarding potential movie versions of current Tony Award winning musical hits, In The Heights and Spring Awakening. Our BroadwayWorld photographer Peter James Zienlinsk not only caught the vibrant images of the evening, but also all the dish being served up during the lively and informative discussion.

The topic of the film transfers came up when the Tony winning star and creator of In The Heights, Lin-Manuel Miranda asked fellow Tony Award winning composer, Duncan Sheik when his Broadway musical Spring Awakening might debut on the big screen, while Sheik was unwilling to comment, Hairspray movie director Adam Shankman divulged the rights had already been optioned and acquired.

It was then Miranda's turn on the hot seat as Shankman revealed that Jennifer Lopez is very interested in guiding In The Heights to the silver screen. The diplomatic answer from Miranda was that while he'd be leaving the show in February 2009, he hopes the musical will continue to thrive without him, but did not comment directly on a film version. Lopez recently spent the evening at a performance of In The Heights with her husband, Marc Anthony to celebrate her birthday and is a very vocal fan of the sow.

On Monday, October 6 at 8:00 p.m. in Zankel Hall, The Carnegie Hall Notables hosted REVIVAL: Broadway's Next Act, a panel discussion focusing on the fresh approach that composers have recently introduced to Broadway, attracting audiences through a new range of media, from YouTube to MTV.

The discussion was moderated by Actress Ana Gasteyer and Panelists included Grammy- and Tony Award-winning composer Duncan Sheik; actor, lyricist, and Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda; film director, choreographer, and executive producer Adam Shankman; Broadway director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell; and actor and author-songwriter Anthony Rapp. Duncan Sheik, Anthony Rapp, and Lin-Maneul Miranda gave a special performance as part of the panel event in Zankel Hall.

Jennifer Lopez opens up about motherhood, Scientology, and a “nervous breakdown” that she’s never publicly discussed

"Don't blow the horn," I tell my driver as we approach the gates. "I'm sure we're being watched. A guard will appear."

Sure enough, the ornate iron gates swing open and a large Latin guard speeds toward us on a Segway Human Transporter, his ear glued to a walkie-talkie.

"I'm here to see Miss Lopez," I inform him as glares at me through the window.

We are led through a canopy of beech trees and oaks on the immaculately manicured grounds of the Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez estate on the North Shore of Long Island--the same rolling acreage where F. Scott Fitzgerald set The Great Gatsby.

There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things. I was suffering from a lack of sleep. And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown.

As we park behind a $300,000 Audie Spyker sports car, Anthony emerges from the driver's side and stares back at me. In a T-shirt and a pair of clam diggers that reveal a tattoo on his right calf, he strides into the house through a side door without a word.

I've caught the family on a bad day. Lopez, who gave birth to twins Emme Guatelupe and Max David only four months ago, has caught a bug from her daughter and is feeling ill. But, ever the trouper, she agrees to go through with our interview anyway, opening up about topics including Scientology, breast-feeding, and a "nervous breakdown," as she calls it, that she's never publicly discussed.

When I meet Lopez in a dimly lit pine study filled with gold records and Grammy awards, she has dispensed with the usual packaging and gloss. Her unwashed hair is pulled severely back and there's a halo of frizz around the crown of her head. She wears no make-up, her eyes are glassy, and her feverish cheeks are aglow. I think of Fitzgerald's heroine, Daisy Buchanan, whose face was "sad and lovely with bright things in it."

Before I can fully apologize for putting her through an interview, Max begins to cry upstairs. Daisy from the Block excuses herself and returns with both twins in her arms. Emme's ears are already pierced with tiny gold hoops in them. Max is wearing a black onesie with an array of sequins on its back.

After refusing to have a nanny for the first four months of her children's lives, she has reluctantly ceded that she may need one. "I'm trying out my first one today," she whispers. "But I still can't stand the sound of my babies crying without tending to them myself."

Lopez, wearing an orange Scoop T-shirt dress, looks as gratefully exhausted as any new mother. I ask her if she needs some privacy so she can nurse the twins who are beginning to squirm. "Is that something you've chosen to do? To breast-feed?"

"No," she says as I ask if the La Leche League has come after her for such a decision. She laughs and readjusts the twins in her arms. "No. No. Some people are radical about it. But to each his own."

"If you had had only one child would you have chosen to breast-feed?"

"No ... I ... ah .... it's not that ... I'd rather not discuss it. It's a whole other thing. If you want to go off-the-record I'll tell you."

We decide to stay on-the-record. "Have you suffered any postpartum depression in the last four months?" I ask.

She admits there have been a few rough days. "People kept prepping me for it, but it didn't happen. At the tenth day after giving birth all that chemical stuff did peak - that hormone thing - and I did cry a lot that day because I was having so much trouble moving. I had a c-section," she says. "Have you ever seen a c-section? I told them I didn't want to know anything, but afterwards they told me they had cut six layers. That's why you can't walk afterwards. I couldn't get up fast enough to feed the babies. It went on for about three days. Marc was helping out a lot and I was crying and crying and going, 'Oh, Papi … they're going to know everybody more than me." She begins to pretend she is sobbing, waking up a now sleeping Emme in the process. "They're going to love everybody more than me!" She stares into her daughters opened eyes. "Don't worry, baby. I was just acting," Lopez says. "Mommy is an actress and she does dramatic things."

The Breakdown

Any sort of depression is hard to imagine from a woman who seems to barrel through any sort of emotional problem.

"I don't get nervous. I don't get depressed. Blah blah blah," she says, but pauses to reconsider. Still staring into her daughter's eyes, she reaches an instant, instinctual decision. She will start now, in this moment, not-lying in her daughter's presence. "There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things. I was suffering from a lack of sleep. And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown. I froze up on a set. Well, not on a set, but in my trailer. I was like - I don't want to move. I don't want to talk. I don't want to do anything. It was on that movie Enough," she says, referring to the film in which she played a battered wife who finally fights back. "Yeah. I did. I had a nervous breakdown."

"There were no signs leading up to it. You really don't know what's happening at first. I was going, what's going on? It was about five in the afternoon in my trailer and I just sat there. I remember telling my assistant at the time - Arlene - to go get the director Michael Apted and I asked if I could go home because I was feeling so sick and weird. I kept saying, 'I'm not weak. I'm not weak.' It's funny what tricks your mind plays on you. I just didn't want people to think I was falling apart. But when I look back on it now it's so odd to me that those are the words I chose to say: I AM NOT WEAK. Michael let me off and when he left I just sat there and started crying and felt frozen. I didn't want to move. My bodyguard who had been with me for many years picked me up and put me in the car and they took me to a doctor ... Right away they want to give you pills. But I have never liked the idea of pills and kept saying no to that and just kept asking what was wrong with me. 'I'll tell you what's wrong,' the doctor said. 'You're sleep deprived. You're overworked. Go home and go to bed.' He told me to go back to work on Monday after a weekend of sleeping because if I waited longer that I would only get more panicked about working. So that's what I did. I've still never been to a shrink. I'm not a shrinky person."

On Scientology

The conversation turns to Scientology. "I know a lot of your friends are Scientologists," I say. "Your father has been a Scientologist for about 20 years ..."

"More than that now," she says.

"Scientologists don't believe in shrinks. Would you ever call on Scientology if you were having those problems again?" I ask.

"I do know a lot about Scientology. And I know about the practices. I know all about what the technology is and all that kind of stuff. It's very helpful. So in a sense, yeah, you do call on it."

"Do you consider yourself a Scientologist?"

"No."

"If you were, would you be open about it?"

"Yeah. I wouldn't have a problem saying it because I know what it is. I have no problems with it and it really actually bothers me that people have such a negative feeling towards it."

"That it is too exotic? Too cultish?"

"Just negative feelings."

"Would you consider schooling Emme and Max in a Scientology school?" I ask.

"Yeah. I wouldn't mind. Not at all. Because I know that the technologies that they have are very helpful… It's all about communication. That's the thing I really don't like about talking about this. I do know so many great people who do do it, who choose it as a lifestyle and really follow it and it is their religion…I just wish that people wouldn't judge it without knowing what it is."

Selling the Twins' Baby Pics

Emme and Max are already contributing to the Lopez empire, estimated at close to half a billion dollars. Earlier this year, Lopez and Anthony sold the rights to the newborns' photos to People magazine for an estimated $6 million. Any internal debate that she was using her babies as a commodity?

"No. No. I think one of the reasons that the price went so high is that we didn't want to do it for so long," says Lopez. "We weren't into it. I was like, no, I don't really want to. No. No way. But then it got to the point that you go, well, now you're being stupid with these offers… I thought I can set them up. I can put this away just for them."

"Did you give any of the money to charity?"

"We gave a little bit and I saved the rest for them."

"Don't their parents make enough money?" I ask. "I mean, according to Forbes you're the 9th richest female working in show business."

"Hmmm …" Lopez says. "I wouldn't believe everything I read."

On Diva-dom

Lopez's hyphenates include her movie career, her music, her television production company, her two fashion lines, her videos, her choreographic career, her sold-out concert appearances around the world with her husband, and her hugely profitable fragrance lines. "I'm up to seven or eight fragrances now," she says, having lost count.

Her nose for business all started with her selling bootlegged high-end perfume behind a tire store when she was growing up in the Bronx. It is when that tough little teenager still surfaces that can cause confusion to her detractors and the labeling of her as a controlling diva. She can, some claim, border on being a bully to make up for those times in her life when she was perhaps bullied herself.

"I think I've always been a favorite to pick on," she says. "Once you have a lot of success you become a target in many ways…I just think that the whole diva thing is a misrepresentation of who I am. I think some of that is because of where I came from. I came from the Bronx and a certain background. I worked really hard. I kept my focus on the right things. And still even with that they find stuff to pick on."

Lopez has always been driven to reinvent herself by the forces of her past. Indeed, one could claim that her vast business empire has been built on the memories of her days as a fancified bootlegger. Suddenly I realize, sitting here looking at her defend herself against an interloper like me, how wrong I have been about her. Though she is wearing all that orange, she is another of Fitzgerald's characters. The one who dared to wear pink. Whose seductive gaucheness permeated the story. Who had the newer bank account. She is not Buchanan. She's Gatsby.

Jennifer Lopez has back-tracked on her plans to retire to spend more time with her twins.

Lopez gave birth to twins Max and Emme in February and said she wanted to take a break from her career to care for the children.
